This point is incredibly alarming. DJT’s unwillingness to hold Russia accountable is in fact hastening the decline of America’s influence. Whatever our personal politics, being in the heart of a declining empire is cause for great concern. As a Somalia refugee who found refuge in the US, I cannot express how upset it makes me that we are actively engineering the demise of our empire and our planet. For those of you who don’t think we need an empire or who prefer to live in Canada, spare me.

It took me many years to master English, and now I must learn Mandarin or Russian? No. I will read Professor McCoy’s book and hope that there is a possibility for the US to be the first empire that preserves itself after approaching the precipice.
